Lore Binon

Lore Binon did her vocal training at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, in Barcelona at the Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya, and at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Valérie Guillorit. She made her operatic debut as Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro) with the Freiburger Barockorchester under the baton of René Jacobs. During the season 2017 she sang the role of Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at the Flemish Opera and she was voice in residence for the Festival of Flanders Mechelen. Lore is equally active in the contemporary music field and has performed Schoenberg’s Pierrot Lunaire at several festivals and participated in Sirènes by Luca Francesconi (Festival Musica, Strasbourg) as well as an international tour of Drumming (Steve Reich) enjoying regular collaborations with Ictus and Rosas. Lore’s rich and sensitive musical personality makes her much sought after as a soloist in symphonical repertoire as well as ancient music. Chamber music is another of Lore’s passions. She is a founding member of the ensemble Revue Blanche; a quartet consisting of the rather unusual combination of harp, flute, viola and voice.

I SOLISTI

Giving opportunities to young talented artists, performing adventurous and challenging projects as well as world-creations and musical theatre are cornerstones in the philosophy of the ensemble. Under the leadership of artistic director and founding father Francis Pollet the ensemble – established over 30 years ago as a traditional wind octet – has grown into an internationally renowned music production house. I SOLISTI unites famed musicians who have a solid reputation as soloist, orchestra member or chamber musician. Depending on the project, the line-up is hand-picked from a permanent core of 25 musicians. Reflecting on 250 years of wind[r]evolution, I SOLISTI conceives a varied and colourful spectrum of original projects: going from intimate chamber music, to daring contemporary creations, surprising opera’s and theatre concerts for young and old to supporting young musicians and composers with I SOLISTI and releasing fascinating recordings. The ensemble, accommodated as Campus resident at deSingel International Arts Campus, is structurally subsidised by the Flemish Government. As a wind ensemble, it occupies a unique place in the Belgian musical landscape. Since August 2020 composer Frederik Neyrinck joins the artistic team of I SOLISTI as artist in residence for four seasons.
