Lounge session with Claron McFadden & friends
Claron McFadden concludes her dazzling series of festival concerts and workshops with a gathering in the Klarafestival Lounge. There, she invites four guests for an organic conversation about womanhood and inclusion in the arts: DJ Rokia Bamba, Izran expert Fatoum, Hiromi Gut, artistic director of guerrillaclassics, and festival dramaturge Katherina Lindekens.
What is the role of art in the world today? After epoch-making movements such as #MeToo and Black Lives Matter, where do we go next? Who is being seen and heard? How do we change and shape the narrative? These and other questions will be explored in an open dialogue, both among the guests and with the audience. Stories, experiences, thoughts and dreams will be shared and interlaced with moments of collective music-making.
To preserve the intimacy of the gathering, places are limited. After the festival, an audio collage of the afternoon will be available on this website.
