For the tenth time, eleven Belgian organisations from the world of classical music go in search of young, promising chamber music ensembles – the 2024 Supernovas!
Every year, experienced programmers from the classical music world select two Belgian chamber music ensembles. SUPERNOVA is an incentive prize that gives young artists recognition and the opportunities to perform: a calling card at the start of a promising career. The two celebrated Supernovas win a Belgian concert tour. The first concert on this tour takes place at BOZAR as part of Klarafestival 2024. Supernovas also receive media attention from both Klara and Musiq’3, and one of the finalists will have a chance to win the "audience award" and a CD recording awarded by Beeldenstorm vzw.
how to participate?
Entries can be submitted until 30 October 2023 via this website. Based on the submitted videos, eight chamber music ensembles will be selected for the semi-final on 14 December 2023 in CC Strombeek. Four chamber music ensembles will advance to the finals on 21 January 2024 at DE SINGEL. There, the jury crowns two finalists as Supernovas of 2024.
