[last tickets] Graindelavoix
rolling stone
A boulder is heavy, but once in motion it rolls forward at a thunderous pace. It is just such a momentum that Antoine Brumel depicts in his twelve-voice Earthquake Mass. Graindelavoix recreates the 16th century music with images from Luigi Di Gianni’s neorealist 1967 documentary Il culto delle pietre. Together with four wind players and the Portuguese guitarist Manuel Mota, they create an audio-visual grisaille about stagnation, crisis and rebellion.
Performance as part of Equinox, a weekend around stillness in introspection.
