classical music festivals all over flanders and brussels
In its almost five decades of existence, Flanders Festival has established itself as one of the most prominent cultural events.
By supporting young Flemish artists and being at the forefront of innovative trends, the organization contributes to the cultural image of Flanders. Eight festivals with an international reputation (in Antwerp, Bruges, Brussels, Ghent, Kortrijk, Limburg, Malines, Flemish Brabant) develop their own activities in a completely unique way. Regional accents span the entire classical repertoire from the Middle Ages to the present, with excursions into traditional world music.
All in all, Flanders Festival presents a high-quality concert offer of more than 550 performances and educational projects in more than 80 cities and municipalities: an artistic touristic and economic boost of stature. An exceptionally rich offer that is much appreciated by visitors (national and international).
The non-profit association SV Flanders Festival is an umbrella organization of the 8 Festivals of Flanders. Philippe Vlerick is the chairman of the umbrella organization.
