The brothers Franz and Karl Doppler travelled throughout Europe in the 19th century to performing their virtuoso compositions for the flute. The most famous virtuoso performer of this time was, without a doubt, Franz Liszt - and everything points to the Doppler brothers taking as a model not only his skill as a performer, but also as a composer. Their works, based on Hungarian melodies, create a world of 19th century festivities and light-headed Romanticism. With fast-moving chords, flashy trills and unpredictable rhythms, these musicians will give you a marvellous taste of their technical virtuosity.
